Percussion 101
Give your child a new skill to learn, play, and grow with.
Whether they are completely new to percussion or want to strengthen their skills, Percussion 101 gives junior high students the hands-on instruction and confidence they need to succeed in band, while discovering a skill they can continue to build for years to come.
Over eight weeks, students will learn the fundamentals of:

Snare drum technique

Bass drum
-
Cymbals
-
Auxiliary percussion
-
Keyboard percussion
-
Music reading
No previous percussion experience is required.
By the end of the course, students will have:

A working foundation in multiple percussion instruments

Basic music-reading skills

Greater confidence participating in school band

A strong foundation to continue developing their musical skills
