The dragon on the Timsha Bell is considered to be a protector. The Timsha Bells are ritual artifacts used by Buddhist Monks and other Shamanistic traditions. The Timshas are made of a complex alloy of bronze (copper and tin), iron, and zinc. When these unique finger cymbals strike each other they produce a clear, pure, cleansing sound that can be used to focus the mind before and after meditation, or by sound healers to clear the space of any negative energies. When played as an instrument they can be used as a chime or a bell. When playing, grasp the cymbals by the cord at the point where it enters the timsha, hold firmly and strike together at a 90 degree angle.
