Belle of the Ball by Leroy Anderson; arr. by Hart Morris
Hart Morris has created a fabulous setting of the Leroy Anderson favorite, giving it new and joy-filled life! Exquisite use of stopped sounds – gently-rung table malleted bells, shakes that provide a shimmering backdrop to the engaging melody, ring touch, thumb damps and LV passages – all come together to make this title glisten and shimmer throughout. The placement of TD and Ring patterns is especially delightful and the addition of an occasional handchime line adds a grounding sonorous effect as it moves to a fully joyous ending. It dances delightfully from beginning to end and ringers and audience alike will be carried along in the sheer joy of this amazing setting!
