This first movement – ‘Spring’ - of Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ has been nicely transcribed for handbells. It features mallets, mallet roll, pluck, thumb damp, mart, and mart-lift offset by nicely place Ring, LV, gyros, echoes, and shakes. Dynamics and expression will keep the Allegro movement of this classical favorite lightly dancing from beginning to end.

 Recommended tempo on the score is q = 92 which may present some challenges especially in the 16^th note triplet passages. The tempo on this recording is q = 84 which still dances along and may work better for some groups.
