On the Ring Road is an expanded version of On the Road. On the Ring Road represents driving down the road, sometimes in busy city traffic and other times in open country spaces. Directors may choose to add non-pitched percussion instruments such as triangle, temple blocks, car horns, etc. to complement this scenario. This composition was a winner of the Alberta Guild of English Handbell Ringers' Fred Merrett Award for new compositions in 2015. Dedicated to music directors/teachers/ringers and the joy of music.
