This arrangement of “Silent Night” for SATB, 3 octaves handbells, and organ was commissioned for use as a recessional at the end of a Christmas Eve service. With the music becoming softer and softer toward the end, it leaves the congregation with a deeply reverent feeling, serving as the penultimate emotional climax leading to the exultation of the Christmas birth celebrated on Christmas Day.
The string quintet consists of violins 1 & 2, viola, cello, and bass. The string orchestra pack includes 4 copies each of the violin 1, violin 2, & viola parts and 2 copies each of the cello and bass parts.
